Abstract Objective To explore the therapeutie effeet of tranexamie acid combined with uterine stentballoon compression on postpartum hemorrhage of placenta previa. Methods Aecording to differenttreatment plans, 60 patients with postpartum hemorrhage of placenta previa were admitted to Xinyang Vocational and Technical College Afiliated Hospital from January 2021 to January 2023 were divided intotwo groups, with 30 cases in each group. 'The control group were treated with uterine stent ballooncompression , and the combined group were treated with tranexamic acid on the basis of the control group.The treatment efficacy, surgical indicators, uterine artery hemodynamic indicators, uterine artery pulsatileindex ( PI) , resistanee index ( Rl) , coagulation funetion indicators , fibrinogen ( FlB ), prothrombin time( P'T) , aetivated partial prothrombin time ( AP'TT), D-dimer ( D-D), complications and adverse reactionswere compared between the two groups. Results The total effective rate of the combined group was96.67%, which was higher than that of the control group(73.33%), the difference was statisticallysignificant ( P<0.05 ). After treatment, the blood loss 2 h and 24 h postpartum in the combination groupwas less than that in the control group, the hemostatic time and hospital stay were shorter, and the levelsof Pl, Rl, FlB and D-D were higher than those in the control group ( P<0.05). There was no significantdifference in the incidence of PT, APT'T and adverse reactions between the two groups ( P>0.05), and theineidenee of complications in the combined group was lower than that in the control group ( P<0.05 ).Conclusion 'Tranexamic acid combined with uterine stent balloon compression in the treatment of placentalprevia postpartum hemorrhage can elfectively improve uterine artery hemodynamics, promote coagulation function stability, and have better hemostatic and therapeutic effects.Keywords: tranexamic acid; balloon compression ; placental previa; postpartum hemorhage ; coagulation
